Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to operate POS system and credit card equipment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to handle cash accurately
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Ability to follow safety rules and company policies
- Physical ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity and good auditory and visual skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and food safety practices
- Ability to operate POS and credit card equipment
- Proficient reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and guest focus
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Legal age to serve alcohol as per state regulations
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders and repeat them
- Charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests
- Receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change
- Enact gift cards requested by guests
- Be familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant's menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
- Make corrections to guest orders efficiently
- Determine counterfeit money and respond to such situations
- Verify age requirements prior to serving alcoholic beverages
- Treat guests to ensure complete satisfaction
- Maintain neat and clean uniform and personal hygiene
- Keep work area neat and clean
- Clean and maintain equipment used
- Complete in-service training and other assigned work duties
